Employee affinity and resource groups are common for all of these (except for religion) in organizations winning diversity awards. For example, only 10 percent of the 401 companies in the 2009 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies' competition have religious resource groups. Why do you think this is the case?

Religion has been a contentious aspect to deal with. Many of the companies stand in the belief that diversity lies at the heart of various nationalities and ethnicities that are blocks of cultural differences, but religions is something that is more man made and propagated than a naturalistic phenomenon. This tends to contort iadeals and mutilate the sense of ideological being. It creates a trap for various misinterpretations, which can doom a company.
